Benefits Of Acne Scar Treatment

With our advanced acne scar treatments, we guarantee your satisfaction. The benefits you’ll receive from this treatment include:

What Is Acne Scar Treatment?

Acne scar treatment depends on the severity of the scars. There are two types of acne scars: rolling scars, which have mild depression and scars that are deep and narrow. The patient’s acne needs to be under control before scars can be treated. Our types of treatments include one or a combination of Vivace microneedling, PRP, stem cells, and Mesotherapy.

The newest treatment is microneedling, where a small, needle-studded roller or pen is applied on the surface of the scars. The needles only puncture the numbed skin to stimulate collagen production, which helps in scars reduction and skin rejuvenation. Patients with dark skin tones can struggle with finding the suitable skin resurfacing treatment, as lasers and peels that remove skin layers, can cause permanent pigmentation changes.

Vivace microneedling device has 31 adjustable depths, which provides flexibility in treating entire skin depth or just down deep, bypassing damage to the top layer of skin. This is why we can treat a wider range of skin types and tones with great precision. In addition, the length of time the needle is engaged with tissue can be precisely controlled based on your skin type and concerns. Another method we use to treat acne scarring is PRP, which is a platelet-rich plasma, also known as autologous conditioned plasma. It’s injected into the skin to promote collagen production.

What Happens In a Session?

Our skin care specialist will determine what type of treatment or treatments you need and the number of sessions, depending on the severity of your scars. A vivace microneedling session will usually take an hour and a half. After your skin is assessed, we will apply a numbing cream on your skin for approximately 30-35 minutes. After the treatment is done, a calming mask may be used. Our dermatologist will then give you aftercare instructions to help maintain your comfort and your skin health.

How Long Will The Results Last?

The results of a Vivace microneedling for treating acne scars can be seen immediately. After the first session, you will notice a significant improvement.

However, the results will get better over time as your body continues to produce more collagen and elastin. These results should last for six months after the final treatment. Our dermatologist may recommend you visit for follow up treatments every four to six months for longer lasting results. Number of treatments that you would need can differ from one skin type to the other. However, typically you would need three sessions to see the best results.
